Saddle River Normandy Farm House
Normandy Farmhouse is a custom residence in Saddle River, New Jersey, inspired by the enduring character of traditional European country homes. It reinterprets classic Normandy farmhouse principles through a contemporary lens, creating a design that is both rooted in history and suited to modern living.
As architect, construction manager, and owner’s representative, I led the project from concept through completion, maintaining full control over design intent and execution. Close coordination with artisans, consultants, and specialized trades ensured that key elements—steeply pitched roofs, hand-laid stone facades, and finely crafted woodwork—were executed with precision and integrity.
The design emphasizes material authenticity, spatial clarity, and a strong connection to the landscape. Thoughtfully scaled interiors, natural finishes, and disciplined detailing create a cohesive and refined environment. Carefully placed openings enhance daylight and circulation, while custom millwork and integrated elements reinforce the home’s architectural coherence.
Normandy Farmhouse reflects a focused approach to luxury residential design in northern New Jersey, demonstrating how traditional influences, guided by clear leadership and precise execution, can result in a residence of lasting quality.
